On August 1st, the third membership conference and technical report session of the Third Branch of the China Iron and Steel Industry Association was grandly held in Panzhihua City, the beautiful "Iron Valley" of China. Panjin Group organized and hosted this simple yet solemn meeting. Leaders and experts from 60+ units including member companies in the vanadium-titanium industry, local government departments, research institutions, universities, and related associations attended the conference to discuss plans for the development of vanadium-titanium.

Zhang Haixiao, the chief engineer of the Economic and Information Technology Department of Sichuan Province, Liu Jianbo, the vice mayor of Panzhihua City, Wang Xinjiang, the vice president and secretary-general of the China Metal Society, Li Yongjun, the Party secretary of the Research Center of the Institute of Metallurgical Industry Economic Research Center, Liu Xiao, the vice president of the Iron and Steel Research Institute, and Dong Han, the president of Shanghai University of Science and Technology, were present and delivered speeches.

Feng Chao, the deputy secretary-general of the China Iron and Steel Industry Association, delivered a speech and on behalf of the China Iron and Steel Industry Association expressed gratitude to the guests attending the conference.

A brief ceremony was held to rename the China Iron and Steel Industry Association Vanadium Branch as the China Iron and Steel Industry Association Vanadium-Titanium Branch. Academician Gan Yong, the former vice president of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and the director of the National Advisory Committee for New Materials Industry Development, sent a video message expressing congratulations and at the same time put forward expectations and requirements for the China Iron and Steel Industry Association Vanadium-Titanium Branch.

The meeting was chaired by Wang Baohua, the vice general manager of Chengde Vanadium-Titanium New Materials Co., Ltd., the current rotating president of the China Iron and Steel Industry Association Vanadium Branch.

Wang Xiaoli, on behalf of the previous rotating president, Jianlong Group Vice President Chengdu Jianlong Special Steel Co., Ltd. General Manager Wang Xueyuan, delivered the 2024 work report of the China Iron and Steel Industry Association Vanadium Branch. The report pointed out that all member units of the China Iron and Steel Industry Association Vanadium Branch closely followed the development situation of the industry, adhered to innovation-driven development, strengthened the coordinated development of the industrial chain, and carried out a series of effective work, achieving remarkable results. The team of the Vanadium Branch has continued to grow and laid a solid foundation for the healthy development of the vanadium industry in China.

Du Shuhong, the vice president of Chengde Vanadium-Titanium New Materials Co., Ltd. and a member of the Party Committee of Chengde Iron and Steel Group, delivered the 2025 work report of the China Iron and Steel Industry Association Vanadium Branch. He stated that the Vanadium Branch will collaborate with the industry and enterprises, vigorously carry out investigation and research, support technological innovation, vigorously promote industry exchanges, vigorously promote industry self-discipline, and strengthen its own construction. Together, they will promote high-quality development of the industry.

Leaders and experts from the China Iron and Steel Industry Association Vanadium Branch, the National Vanadium-Titanium Magnetite Comprehensive Utilization Standardization Technical Committee of Panzhihua City, the Shanghai University, the Iron and Steel Research Institute, and the Sichuan University attended the conference and made special presentations and technical reports.

The meeting passed the work regulations and personnel appointments and dismissals of the China Iron and Steel Industry Association Vanadium Branch according to the procedures. Du Shuhong, the vice president of Chengde Iron and Steel Group, Wang Baohua, the vice general manager of Chengde Vanadium-Titanium New Materials Co., Ltd., Wang Xueyuan, the general manager of Chengdu Jianlong Special Steel Co., Ltd., and Luo Luojin, the vice president of Luojin Gold Mine Group, were elected as the rotating president. Feng Chao, the deputy secretary-general of the China Iron and Steel Industry Association and the director of the Science and Technology and Environmental Protection Department, was elected as the vice president. Du Shuhong was elected as the president, and Zhang Huiming was elected as the secretary-general. The third regular meeting was held after the conference. The second regular meeting was held three times before the conference and passed relevant matters.
