Production of Electrolytic Manganese Flakes

In the production of electrolytic manganese flakes, the commonly used electrolysis equipment is the cathode and the anode. Currently, in the production of electrolytic manganese flakes, the cathode for electrolytic manganese flakes is composed of a conductive rod and a cathode plate. The conductive rod is generally made of pure copper or covered with a stainless steel outer layer. It is composed of pure copper. Pure copper plays the main conductive role. However, pure copper is expensive, so the material cost is high. In addition, the density of pure copper is high, resulting in heavy equipment weight. In the process of electrolyzing manganese, the cathode needs to be moved frequently. The heavyweight increases the labor intensity of workers and reduces production efficiency.

In order to overcome the above-mentioned shortcomings of the prior art, a new electrolytic manganese sheet uses a cathode square and circular combined structure. The electrolytic manganese sheet uses a cathode square and circular combined structure, including a conductive rod and a cathode plate. The characteristic is that the conductive rod is in the shape of a long strip. The conductive rod is composed of a stainless steel shell wrapping a conductor. The conductor is composed of aluminum strips and copper strips. Aluminum The strip and the copper strip are in close contact to form a conductor, and the upper end face of the conductive rod is flat and the lower end face is arc-shaped. Or the conductive rod is arranged such that the upper-end surface of the conductive rod is arc-shaped and the lower-end surface is flat. Changing the conductor to a combination of copper strips and aluminum strips not only ensures the conductivity of the cathode but also reduces the manufacturing cost of the electrolytic manganese sheet cathode.

It also reduces the weight of the cathode, making it easier for workers to operate and greatly reducing the labor intensity of workers. , at the same time, the conductive rod is composed of a stainless steel shell wrapping a conductor. The conductor is composed of an aluminum strip and a copper strip. The aluminum strip and the copper strip are in close contact to form a conductor. The aluminum strip and the copper strip can be tightly attached to the stainless steel shell and squeezed. The inner cavity is filled with stainless steel to prevent air or electrolytes from entering the cavity corroding the conductor and extending the service life of the cathode.

In the production of electrolytic manganese sheets, the contact between aluminum strips and copper strips is in the form of tenons and mortises. The contact end of the aluminum strip can be a mortise, and the corresponding receiving end of the copper strip can be a mortise; or the contact end of the copper head can be a mortise, The corresponding receiving end of the aluminum strip is a socket; in this way, the contact surface between the two can be greatly increased, and the current loss caused by the different conductivity coefficients of the aluminum strip and the copper strip during contact can be reduced.

At the same time, this connection can connect the aluminum strip and the copper strip. The strips are tightly connected and it is not easy for the connection to fall off. The contact surface between the aluminum strip and the copper strip is a bevel, and the shapes of the bevels at the contact point correspond to each other. Setting the contact surface as a slope can increase the contact area between the copper strip and the aluminum strip, greatly increasing the stability of the connection and ensuring a better connection of the conductive areas.

The exposed parts are all made of copper strips. Since the copper strips are corrosion-resistant, the cathode can be made more durable. The contact point between the aluminum strips and the copper strips is completely sealed in a stainless steel shell, and the aluminum strips are completely covered in a stainless steel shell. This prevents The contact point from being corroded and falls off, which also prevents the aluminum strip from being corroded and increases the service life of the cathode. Aluminum and copper bars are welded together. Aluminum bars and copper bars are welded together for a convenient and stable connection.

At the same time, as an alternative, stamping can also be used to tightly connect the aluminum bars and copper bars. The conductive material in the cathode conductive rod for electrolytic manganese flakes is changed from pure copper with equal cross-section to pure copper and pure aluminum with different conductivity properties according to the actual needs of conductivity. This does not change the conductivity requirements required for the production of electrolytic manganese flakes and does not increase electrolysis. The power consumption, that is, under the premise that the conductivity of the electrolytic manganese cathode remains unchanged, the manufacturing cost of the electrolytic manganese cathode is reduced by 10-12%, the weight is reduced by 8-9%, and the labor intensity of workers is also greatly reduced.
